Angus Fletcher


Angus Fletcher is Distinguished Emeritus Professor of English and Comparative Literature at the Graduate School of the City University of New York. He is the author of several works of literary criticism, including Colors of the Mind: Conjectures on Thinking in Literature, Evolving Hamlet: Seventeenth- Century English Tragedy and the Ethics of Natural Selection, and Time, Space, and Motion in the Age of Shakespeare. He is the recipient of the Truman Capote Prize in Literary Criticism, a Guggenheim Fellowship, a Getty Fellowship, and a Senior Fellowship from the Endowment for the Humanities.
